Our annual barbecue was right on time. Hats off to the “Grill Kings”; bon appetit was an understatement to the food. It was… !!! Thanks to everyone for making River City Golf Association’s events a can’t miss… and must attend venues each week. We also use this venue to remember our deceased members and affiliates. This year’s gone but not forgotten ceremony hailed: Calvin Drake, Ray Williams, Luis Figueroa, Larry Roberts, Carl “JJ” Johnson, Kenneth Pulliams, Vince Cano, James Patillo, Saint Harrison, and Brothers of Houston member Wynn Dixon.

This event is also the setting for our Four-Man Tournament. The overall tournament format is Skins, Closest-to-pin, and Low Net 4 member teams determined through a blind draw. The regular flighted low net competition is suspended for this venue. We pack a lot into this venue; to include the RCGA Cup. The Cup race is coming into focus. FOUR MAN TOURNAMENT INFORMATION: (tap to view past event)

Skins and closest to the pin shall be played as usual. Individual net positions shall receive regular season Cup Championship

Points that shall be worth major event values. The team tournament portion shall suspend the normal weekly Low Net winning

positions and payouts. The Four Man Teams shall be determined by the Scorekeeper Program designed to balance the field

by the team's handicap; with the exception of an incomplete team. If there is an incomplete team; an additional blind draw shall

be done to establish a four-golfer team if necessary. All group pairings shall be done as usual. The four member's combined low

net score shall be registered as the team score. The lowest combined team score shall win. The Four Man Tournament purse

and payout positions is based on participation. NOTE: the tiebreaker rule will apply to all team payout positions in the event of a

tie in either of those finishing positions.
