The Two Golfer Tournament, Cup Championship, Skins, Closest to Pin, and gearing up for The Ray Williams Interclub Tournament are happening now. David De La Cruz and James Pinckney “Pink” lead the field after the 1^st round of the Two Golfer Tournament held at the Buckhorn Golf Course in Comfort, Texas. Pink also moved to 1^st place in the RCGA Cup Championship overall. He won 1^st place; picking up the major points top spot. Congratulations Pink! Northern Hills hosted the 2^nd round of the 2022 RCGA Two Golfer Tournament. The weather forecast was watched up to the start of our round. We were fortunate to get a little better than 4 hours of play without seriously being harassed by any rain. We got it in with an outstanding shining moment. Mike Taylor sunk a hole in one on the par 3, 18^th hole; congratulations! This was the 3^rd hole in one in Mike’s golf career. And the 4^th RCGA competition hole in one on record (W. Broadnax, H. Swann, J. Terry, & M. Taylor).

Now that the Two Golfer Tournament is complete; the data has revealed our 2022 River City Golf Association champions to be none other than the team of David De La Cruz and James Pinckney. Congratulations! Their tag team posted the lowest score for both rounds. They posted the leading score of 193.2. Thank you to everyone that participated. We hope that these past two weeks of competition allowed you to mingle with other golfers in our club. And will serve as a pretty good warm-up for the Ray Williams Texas Interclub Tournament coming up soon.

RCGA 2022 TWO GOLFER TOURNAMENT

The 2-Golfer Tourney participants are paid-up if; their fee has been captured in advance.  The non-refundable tournament fee and the Skins & CTP entry fees are mandatory as listed here:

$40.00 - - Two Golfer Championship participants (covers all-in for both days)

$24.00 - - Two Golfer Championship participants (covers tournament & CTP both days; not Skins eligible)

$12.00 - - Individual golfers not competing in Two Golfer Championship (Skins & CTP eligible only per day)

Formats:

- 1st round- 2-Golfer team’s total combined net score

- 2nd round- Four Ball (2-Golfer best ball net per hole)

Even though best ball (Four-Ball) is the competition format, each golfer shall play their ball tee through the green. In a nutshell, the entire field will play stroke play as usual.  The total team score will be the sum of the combined net of the team's 1st round plus the team’s four ball score of the 2nd round.  The lowest team score shall be crowned the winner.  Payouts and finishing positions shall be based on participation. 

Members and guest may compete in the rounds played of this tournament and be in all of our regular competitions (Skins, CTP, and accumulate Cup points) according to the RCGA By-Laws.  The low net payouts shall be suspended during this tournament.  The low net entry and the Club shall fund the Two Golfer Championship purse.
