Now the 2021 Two-Man Tournament is complete; all indications point to Jason Cataract and Richard Salinas as the new RCGA Two-Man champions. Jason and Richard led the way both weeks. Congratulations to you for a splendid victory posting 197.8 as a combined score.

Round #1 of the The River City Golf Association’s (RCGA) 2021 Two-Man Tournament was played at Riverside GC on 26 Apr 2021. The enrollment consisted of 29 teams. One team was formed by blind draw due to there wasn’t any golfers left in the available player pool to establish a traditional team. The week one leaderboard had team Cataract/Salinas on top followed closely by team Eggins/Leake. Sitting in 3^rd was the team of Pitts/Zavala; followed by several teams in striking position. Cup points were awarded this week too; this generated some rank shifting on the Cup leaderboard. See that data here and at the regular online locations.

In addition, we will head to Houston to compete against our friends, The Brothers of Houston. We are the defending champions. Let’s take on the challenge to successfully defend the title on the road. We play on May 12^th and 13^th; go to our schedule and tap on the links for more details. Meanwhile, we need a head count of those planning to make the trip. If you plan to go, contact Greg Johnson.

The 2-Man Tourney participants are paid-up; their fee has been captured in advance. The non-refundable tournament fee and the Skins & CTP entry fees are listed here:

$40.00 - - Two Man Championship participants (covers all-in for both days)

$24.00 - - Two Man Championship participants (covers tournament & CTP both days; not Skins eligible)

$12.00 - - Individual golfers not competing in Two Man Championship (Skins & CTP eligible only per day)

Formats:

- 1st round- 2-man team’s total combined net score

- 2nd round- Four Ball (2-man best ball net per hole)

Even though best ball (Four-Ball) is the competition format, each golfer shall play their ball tee through the green. In a nutshell, the entire field will play stroke play as usual. The total team score will be the sum of the combined net of the team's 1st round plus the team’s four ball score of the 2nd round. The lowest team score shall be crowned the winner. Payouts and finishing positions shall be based on participation.

Members and guest may compete in the rounds played of this tournament and be in all of our regular competitions (Skins, CTP, and accumulate Cup points) according to the RCGA By-Laws. The low net payouts shall be suspended during this tournament. The low net entry and the Club shall fund the Two Man Championship purse.

The RCGA Cup points will be doubled for this tournament. Golfers select their own partner for this tournament. Click here to view eligible golfers and the enrolled teams.
